Notifications

Got 2 red notification icons yesterday but no new messages or notifications could be round, is this an issue with new site? As far as I'm aware I have the correct settings turned on

Found not round. Can't find edit option either !

“Notifications” are NOT “Private Messages” as they were known on the old version.

They basically show up when you have been “quoted”, or your user name has been mentioned. They disappear automatically once you have accessed the particular post. Think that is the default setting, but you can change the way they operate by clicking on your user name in the top right corner, go to “User Settings” and the click on the “Notifications” tab.

The little red squares under your avatar is your “Reputation level”. Hence Wests having 4 dots and Hubble none. (Only joking Hubs )

At the risk of repeating myself, or for those that aren’t aware, at the very bottom of the page there is a toolbar. There is a “Help” section there which will guide you through almost everything you need to know. Just takes a bit of digging.
