That's the issue with the owners then. Loadsa of money, don't wanna spend it.

How did they think that Champions League in 5 years was achieveable? They should be sent to the asylum.

I do agree with that, people were given false hopes.

I wouldn't have wated money on wages for a 1 in 10 striker for starters. I would have preferred keeping Helguson to Bent for starters and I would try and blood some of the kids, Balanta & German rather than spending more money on wages - even if Birmingham are paying some of his wages.

Add on the fee for the loan, the agents fees for arranging the loan etc etc..

So Heskey's record is 1 in 10 over the last 5 seasons? His assists are WAY above Bent's - next..

I'm not sure where we are going with these goal ratio arguments. If a player has a better goal ratio than 1 every 5 games or better his club are hardly likely to give him to someone else and if they are, chances are he'd have better options than us to go to..

Anything from 1 in 5-10 is the best we can hope for.

Would like to see a list of strikers with a good goal ratio (the 1 in 5 or better) that we could reasonably be expected to get to back up their argument.

Enlighten me, oh football oracle, what are the stats for both of them?
We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are...

Apart from losing Routledge it was pretty good!
