Trouble is - we will not get a decent manager. If the manager is not allowed to bring in his players - decent managers will stay away.Managers idnetify the player and then GP or the director of football negotiates. If he feels the players demands are to much and not good for the club, so beit....By GP should do what he does best....he is not a football scout of coach etc...

      please tell me

How can you employ a decent manager to the end of the season?? In such a short space of time. Please don't tell me within 1 week you can employ someone over 3 years!

How can you possiblly blame Magilton apart from himself, over what happened??

How can you not see that we will not appoint a decent manager with the DOF role and that is why your mate should go

Pete 1 manager yes - 2 ok 3 maybe but the amount we have had over past three years - you have to look further than the managers as to the problem

you appoint a decent manager from now on a 2/12 yr contract (that has already been enquired about as they made their decison so abruptly - must have a replacement)

he then has the rest of the season to see where he needs to strengthen - and players to sell - if we can???

then over the summer he has time to gell his side and then has 2 seasons to work at getting us promoted.....

For me his position is untenable. If he really is the Director of Football (responsible for football matters and managerial appointments and transfers) then he should be sacked as we have gone from shambles to farce directly of a result of his appointments.

If he is not the Director of Football what exactly is his role and why the hell are we paying him so he should be sacked anyway.

Therefore a yes either way from me.

Everyone that we respect and the players respect, if it means without a DOF than so be it. I really don't care, let a manager manage and stop panicking when we lose a couple.

Us fans can be just as bad, we call for managers heads after a few draws/defeats, yet ask for stability..
Hang on. I don't think the club have installed the fans choice once yet. You put a Coppell, Curbs or O'Driscoll type in charge and I think you will find the fans will be a little more patient. I am not saying you go with fans all the time but if you don't it's always going to be harder. Funnily enough I don't remember Sousa getting booed.

I might have missed it but can any of the pro-Paladini people tell me what the benefit of a DoF is.

Well if he does, hopefully as a multi-million pound earning IT call centre operator, you'll be first in line to invest in us?
