Really cant work out some of the posters on here. In all fairness I seem to have noticed all the bitchers about the signing of Simpson have gone a wee bit quiet! As said above if he gets injured he goes back. Because he is returning from injury means we have probably got him for peanuts! I love the way people say he isn't fit. Does this come from people who have been monitoring he week in and out for the past two months? If he don't prove himself the he goes back. What is the real issue here?

Yeah, makes you want to cry - and these are all the same people that didn't ever rate Mahon only to pop up recently and say how much we'd miss him. Still, they have obviously been travelling the country watching him play for the reserves to build up his fitness and have been monitoring him for ages!! Give the man a chance FFS.

The signing makes perfect sense to me.We have lost Rowlands and mahon.Legs seems to be a preferred right back.We cannot sign anyone else to january and we have only Faurlin and Watson to fill the midfield positions.

Watson seems to get sent off a lot and Faurlin is still young and inexperienced(but doing very well) use reid for a month and maintain our promotion push, then send him back in january and sign a permanent midfield player...cos we can...We win..Blackburn win and reid wins.....Thats what i think.Otherwise our alternatives in midfield are limited.

A club in our position should be looking at bringing in premiership players, from one of the mid table prem teams, who have played internationals, who for one reason or another aren't breaking in to the first team and need to prove a point.

Whats wrong with some of you...he's a proven premiership player...we are lucky to have him...he cant be that unfit he's been playing in the carling cup...so he cant be too far off...blackburn fans rate him...whens the last time we got a proven player from the Prem join us on loan?

as far as i am aware does he not play wide right normally,so he really is not a replacement for mahon
