After the 6-2 I decided we were through so I cancelled the trip to Partizan and booked up to go to Hungary for the next round, Videotron I think. Lots of my mates went to Belgrade and yes they said it was hell, split up into little groups and attacked from start to finish.

I always imagine what would have happened if we'd have won the league back in the 70s. Even worse to think that Liverpool gained entry to Europe after pipping us to the title, which led to their first European cup win - could have been us...Comment

And yes a goal at Coventry would have been my choice as well, Ah, let not forget our first time in the EUFA cup, didn't we lose on penalties to AEK Athens.I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

It was Phil Boyer who scored the offside goal that should have been disallowed and we could then save the extra goal to change the outcome of another match.
Still, as we can't do anything about the past, can we use those extra goals for games that will otherwise end in draws this season i.e. winning goals scored in the 95th minute.Comment

Has to be the least enjoyable experience of watching football I've ever had - and there's been a few to chose from. Having said that the trip to Iceland was a really good one so it's swings and roundabouts.
I too would have been off to Hungary. Not sure what would have happened to us if we'd got a goal in Belgrade so I'm sticking to my earlier post on the three goals.#standuptocancer

For me (as history doesn't effect our current position...
I'd take 1 away to Blackpool
1 away to Plymouth
1 away to Newcastle
We'd be top by 3 point over Cardiff with a game in hand as Newcastle would be 2 points short. Plus 15 goal difference the same as Diff. Go on to win our next 2 and we're at least 6 clear.
