ssimpson already agreed to permanent with us

as far as ive been able to find out we have a fee of 4 million accepted if we want him on a permanent
but this is not an official statement as ive just heard this from an arsenal; season ticket holder
the reason i do beleive this rumour to be true is because arsenal have three other strikers who they rate higher than simpson
also he told me simpson was comming to us well before it was announced so if this rumour is true i hope we tie up deal in january
4 million is a quite reasonable fee for a consistant scorer

4 million is quite a bit of money for a player thats only played a few games.

2 million max I would say should do the trick.

            £4m is too much.

£2m would be a fair price.

Strong rumour because he lives in Boreham Wood or because he's in charge of the Juniors?

Methinks the attention Monkey is on Weavie's back again.

                  yeah

they definately would sell at the right place because they have the best youth team in england and have two other afro caribians who are so brilliant they wont even let them out on loan
jay simpson to the mighty arsenal is a very average player, and a very average player is valued at four million

If there is any truth in this rumour then it probably a deal "worth" £4M a la the Faurlin deal i.e including us winning the champions league, Simpson playing for England and him scoring 30 goals a season for the next five years!!!!!:exciting:

If that, reckon around £1.5m with Arsenals special clauses to sell on etc.

A high fee, but, you are buying pure potential, he does look good I must say...

It would probably be £2m up front then £2m over 24 months or something as I doubt it would be an upfront fee.

Interesting to note how Simpson is doing for us:
Chopra 11 goals at a rate of a goal every 112 minutes
Simpson 6 goals at a rate of a goal every 112 minutes
