Give a professional footballer clear instructions about what he is expected to do in his position, one that he is suited for and confident in, then he will perform to the best of his ability.

If the instructions are gibberish and he is played out of his best position then the best of his ability will get him tarred and feathered by the fans and he will end up hating his manager.
