One of my best pals played with him at Staines Town, said he was a cut above at that level (as you would hope for a player now in the Championship I suppose!) - said he is rapid as well which is always a useful attribute.

I know nothing about him tbh but have a good feeling he will do well for us.

Brentford took a punt on that Watkins who looks decent and Leeds did on Roofe before that. Hopefully Wheeler will be another lower league player that can step up.

His 8 in 7 includes a brave header putting his head in where it hurts to score a goal. Impressive.

I think he was carrying a couple of knocks, which is why he played v Brentford. I think. I could be wrong.
