To be honest this new stadium plan seems a lot more realistic then OOC. 30,000 seater would also be much more realistic for us and imo retain more atmoshere on match days then going sdtraight into a 40,000 seater which I think we would struggle to fill most of the time.

OOC is clearly not going to happen but its nice to see we are now pursuing other routes and it still looks like TF and co are keen to invest. Obviously I am sure the housing development thats attached to the project would be a nice little earner.

ANyone have a rough idea what we could sell Loftus Road for? Also to build a stadium for under 200 mill sounds pretty good value for money! Something like the AMex would be fantastic for us and I think that cost around 95 million to build.

sharing with athletics? does that mean a stadium with a running track around it? always hate those..you are miles away from the pitch especially at the ends

Hope so mate. Do not like the idea of being stuck down in a corner next to a prison.
Would rather be a focal point in the center of a metropolis. Hope we stick with the original plan.

Linford christe is a big no from me.

I think in a lot of modern stadiums that combine the two they actually have a couple of rows of mobile seating that can be removed when the running track is needed.

In hoos reply it says any athletics track would be adjacent to the football stadium

Bloody hell I've been saying for years the Linford Christie stadium is where we should move to. Makes perfect sense: only a mile away from where we are now, closer to our roots, will still benefit from OOC regeneration. Plus it's been in a dilapidated, underused state for years.

The Pavilion is almost directly opposite it! Couple of pubs by Latimer Road station (about a 20 minute walk), so it's not great, I grant you. They closed the North Pole down a few years ago which was a great pub and 5 minutes away. Now its a Tesco Metro....
