You then factor in the cost of his wage over the length of his contract plus any additional fees for agents etc and you're talking north of a mil in this situation.

I dont think any club factors in wages in a transfer kitty.
If we get 7 million and the manager has been told he can have the lot to reinvest then he spends the 7 million.

Biggest example is probably Arsenal, and look how well off that club is.
