Anderlecht striker Idrissa Sylla has completed a medical and agreed personal terms ahead of a proposed transfer to QPR.
The Guinea international, 25, requires a work permit before a £1.5m deal can be completed for him move to Loftus Road.
Rangers are keen to sign at least one striker before Wednesday night’s deadline and Sylla is one of several options they have been considering.

That is how it usually works.Originally posted by CroydonCaptainJack View PostI would imagine not. It will most probably be a 'subject to work permit' deal.
Hopefully this would be granted in time for hin to play in the first match after the International break.
Is he allowef to train with the team in tbe meantime - it would help him get to knowthe players and how theteam plays.

Such comparisons are just speculations.Originally posted by stanistheman View PostAgree about past achievements of a club is not a measure of ability, but I think the Belgian League is some way better than League one.
It is between Bottom half Premiership and Championship.
What is best to look at is: how do majority of players who have played in Belgium/France fare in England
I am happy we found a striker in our price range (never a top striker) and I pray he makes our team stronger

Given that JET is still one of ours this is a strange piece of business. One good thing: if Sylla ends up legit and plays, JFH is going to have to pick his wide men on their right sides because this bloke feeds on crosses.Originally posted by Southport View PostAlways willing to give players a chance, but in terms of talent (lets not get into a debate about "attitude", because it can be a players PR firm v a clubs PR firm) who looks like the better goalscorer, Sylla or Emmanuel-Thomas? .

As said above and by the Anderlecht fans, this guy has the work ethic and attitude to suit us, which I think is why it isn't a strange piece of business in spite of JET, who lacks those qualities. Ultimately, as talented as JET may be, JFH has to put down a precedent... if you don't work, you don't get into the squad, no matter how good you are.Originally posted by hal9thou View PostGiven that JET is still one of ours this is a strange piece of business. Nobody knows the ins and outs of it but JFH is not going to play JET.Originally posted by hal9thou View PostGiven that JET is still one of ours this is a strange piece of business. I must have missed something. Because I didn't hear JFH say that about JET. And in any case, managers always come out with that kind ofcrap to cover their own inability to get the best out of tricky customers. On JFH's alleged reasoning NW wouldn't have kept Adel. And NW isn't exactly a softshite......Originally posted by nasser95 View Postif you don't work, you don't get into the squad, no matter how good you are.
Clearly JET isn't in that class but we are so short of class up top....
