Do hope people wont moan about us not getting him if this goes through. Afterall, not many were calling for him to be signed prior to the rumour.

They want 8 million dont they. Still got fifty grand a week going out to the last geezer we gave them 8 million for who does not one single thing for the club. They dont sell players that are value for money.

Looks like they will pay the asking price. Fair play to them. They are a very ambitious club with a brand new stadium and training ground. We can't compete in that market anymore as we won't pay them fees. Would of been nice to have a proper marquee signing though to get everyone excited for the coming season.

they have a few important players linked with moves (stephens and knockaert) so assume this is being lined up as a replacement. Could also just be media talk

Even if that meant paying £8mill for a player that's worth nowhere near that?

Possibly Newcastle, but they've had a "substantial" bid rejected apparently.

Agree, we`ve gone from one end of paying out what we used to,to the exact opposite, should be able to get a quality signing in or two, we have got the money, just the owners look like their grabbing back abit after they forked out! even though that was there poor keeping that spent that in the first place!

We just need to find the middle ground when it comes to spending.

No need to go over the top but also no need to completely shy away from some of the bigger deals.

Pritchard is a very talented lad who has the nack of creating and scoring goals so he will cost a premium. 6 mill in today's football market is the going rate. I'd personally love to see us spend 10 - 12 mill combined on 2/3 quality players who will make the difference from us being a mid table team to potentially fighting for automatics and certainly top 6.

not for me. I know we are a "smaller club", but hate being used to give someone experience and get them ready, for another club to benefit in the long term. Wouldnt loan unless:

1.)Option to buy at the end of the loan
2.)is an older player of which you 100% know what you are getting and he is cover for a position.
