Good. Can't stand that club or anything about it. Hope they have the season from hell.

Owner wants out but can't sell and won't buy players, major defensive injury crisis on their hands, now the manager's on his toes
They're striving to be even more of a basket case club than we were with Uncle Tone pulling the strings !Comment

Wouldn't sticking to your principals mean working hard and staying through the length of your contract? Not quitting when you get some injuries and a pain in the #### boss?Comment

Fair point. Suppose you could see it that way...or the fact he's just got the promoted again and he's about to be sh.at on on from a great height (promises broken?) so rather than sit on his ar.se taking a wage until the inevitable he's done the noble thing? Just my opinion. Always thought Bruce was pretty sound so that's the way I see itComment

I understand your POV. Part of it I agree with, I just have a hard time with the word "quit" and sticking to your principals. Has a sort of negative connotation to me personally. I don't necessarily disagree with his decision, but there are only 20 jobs in the world that have the title of manager of an EPL team. But your right, his stock is very high, and could probably get a better squad after the first manager gets sacked in October.Fair point. It is a bit like when Gerry Francis quit in 1994.
Principles and guarding your reputation is more like it.Comment

Remind me, Stan, that was the Richard Thompson effect? Remember all the f.a.r.t (fans against Richard Thompson) etc campaigns and running on the pitch v Leeds to protest. I was 15/16 at the time so a mixture of bravado, naivety and following the older lot done for meComment
