Dont like the format, and if you're Italian you'd be fuming about the way it's worked out
Agree, there's something not right about it. The two halves look very lopsided, with one half having a much easier passage to progress (at least on paper).

I have looked at how likely Portugal are to be runners up in that group and it is actually quite unlikely. I think it was something like Iceland have to win by mnore than them for it to happen.

Yep, looks like the only way for Portugal to finish second is if both win but Iceland match or better their score.

Think it's near on impossible for us to get Portugal.

            Seems unlikely doesn't it Norths?
I would love to play them and beat them but I can't bear the though of the brat getting soemone sent off and/or scoring the winner against us so I would rather avoid them.

Its highly unlikely, but not impossible.

Yeah, best avoided in the next round.
Especially when you factor in they've still got the other villain of the piece, Carvalho, still playing.
I'd love a bit of revenge, but dont really want the focus of a last 16 tie being about that.

Woy not picking a team to score one goal against slovakia cost the English economy millions and millions.
The difference between a Monday 8pm game and a Saturday 5pm game is so big.

Getting portugal isn't that unlikely. If Iceland and portugal win (which they are both capable of) then it's down to goal difference. Iceland have currently scored more than Portugal so top spot is in their hands

We have nothing to fear against drawing Portugal, surely?

Also, isn't it a weird feeling not having Holland at the euros.

I treat England the same I do as Rangers in any cup competition.
We will lose whoever we draw cos that's what they both do and are very similar in their predictability .
If we don't then happy days let's go on another bender. (No homo)

Well they are 9-1 to win the group so fill your boots if you think it is likely.

I may do. Can get 10s in places.

Seems a decent value bet given how open that group is.

Do it in a double with BREXIT at 3/1 nd never work again.
