Are players getting game-time that we think shouldn't, because they fit into JFH's style of wanting players that chase back to help us in not conceding? Could that explain why others don't get in because they don't naturally chase back and are being re-coached in doing so?

Yes, I think that is the case. Spot on.

Chery, Luongo and Hoillett have all said as much. Nice to see a manager teach his attacking players how to also defend.

If that's the case, yesterday certainly wasn't showing it. As I said, one tackle and one interception for a hard worker is not a good enough output to warrant game time. We might as well have played with someone who doesn't close down because the difference is so minimal that at least we'd get better attacking football.

Personally felt he was decent today but nothing special beyond the goal and maybe one big challenge. Still don't think he's worth being as close to the starting line up as he seems to regularly get.

I get your position and if he's just a squad player, that's fine I guess, but the fact that he's starting a few games is a bit Jarring for me when we have Washington on the bench who can play his role, Petrasso, Hoilett etc. I get Hoilett was tired but the others I think should be ahead.

With 11 clappers (happy or not) we would be relegated 5 years in a row at least

Agree. Not a fan personally. Great finish though.

It's only now that he's performing ironically as he's approaching a contract expiry. Mackie might not be everyone's cup of tea but in my opinion he can't really be judged on this season. Very much stop start with no consistency in selection and a serious injury. Obviously lacking match sharpness
So he should be judged on his time here what 4 years ago!!!!

mackie has a superb attitude, i wouldn't start him though nor would i play nasser who i think has been poor when i've seen him play . i'd start washington and use mackie as a sub that can press defenders in the closing stages of a game

Goal aside, I thought he was #### poor. Done a bit of good defensive work but offered absolutely nothing going forward.

Totally agree. The bloke tries but is not good enough. Why Jimmy picks him is beyond belief

Same. Such a poor player. Effort is the minimal requirement. Geeing up the crowd doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. Honest, hard working lad, but as a footballer, he's not my kind of player at all.
