"What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane

So if you're JFH, where do you start? What markers do you lay down to the players, and to those you recruit? What style of play? And when players "don't show up" as was evidenced last week, in a derby ffs, what's the consequence? Start them again & hope for different, or signal to all what "unacceptable" truly is to you: a benching.Comment

I want a chairman that knows how to run a football club.
i want a manager who is in control of his playing staff.
I want players who have ability at championship level with one or two from lower leagues,
I want coaches who are capable
i want a clear plan for the future with no lies about training grounds and 40k stadiums.
i want the jobs for the boys culture out of my club.
can get rid of that pointless ambasidor job and all.nsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐Comment

I agree with most of what you said there but one thing I've noticed is that a lot of people go on about the "job for the boys". Personally I don't see this as a big deal as if anything this happens at a lot of clubs. All the big clubs like Man Utd, Munich, Barca etc have "job for the boys" and I think it's their way of continuing on from the success. Obviously our success is very limited (understatement) compared to them but the old players we do bring back are players from our best team in last 30 years or so.I want a chairman that knows how to run a football club.

fair points but the problem with our former players is that they are not qualified for the positions that they currently hold. les dof? 18stone andrew impey standing on the sidelines coaching the u18s, chris ramshyte,I agree with most of what you said there but one thing I've noticed is that a lot of people go on about the "job for the boys". its really a recipe for disaster mate, and its happening before our eyes. u21 u18s getting spanked on a weekly basis, first team has 2 wins in 14 games. its just not working.
i dont blame jimmy for all this, i said he will get chewed up by this club when he signed. nothing i have seen in the past 3 months has changed my mind.nsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐Comment

Don't know if I'm shallow or a bit thick, but all I want is to go to rangers and watch us win a football match, if we win I'm happy and have a great weekend and if we don't I'm a bit less happy, might even say a tad grumpy.
I actually really and truly don't give a monkey's who's in charge and how much they spend or waste of their own money, even a training ground or new stadium don't touch the sides of my mind, if it happens it happens, none of that does not affect my life in any way whatsoever.
Though I do feel for you guys who that side of stuff effects so deeply though, and it pains me to see it causing you pain and to see you worrying and fretting over it, and that's not sarcasm either .Last edited by Kevin Mcleod; 16-02-2016, 02:50 PM.Comment

WOW this is so funny, you would stop to moan and whinge if the happy clappers stop moaning and whinging about the moaners and whingersI agree with almost every word of this post. Those who, as you say moan and whinge, moan and whinge about the team performance, the management and the board. Invariably when we lose. And when we've been so s hit for so long..... That's what happens on a message board..... But I can't help thinking that some happy clappers (two in particular, one of whom is a mod......) moan and whinge about the moaners and whingers. And they can do so in a sometimes spiteful way. Moaners never personally target the happy clappers in the way some happy clappers target the moaners. It's that I'm tired of tbh......Comment
