Exactly, JFH clearly has a say in who we bring in. I think its more a case of Les agreeing its the type of player we want and making sure the finances work out.Originally posted by nanocopic View PostWhat makes me laugh at the comments is that clearly the manager is bringing in the players he wants, El Khayati would not have been coming if it werent for JFH. It does seem as though he had been watching Washington as well. I would say currently the situation is working rather well. Luongo, Hall, Polter, Smithies all brought in with Les there and all doing really well in the team.
Unfortunately too many stubborn people to ever change their mind about LF. Does make me chuckle after a bad result people want him sacked.

Hindsight makes everything clearer. At the time we had just gone through Hughes followed by 'Arry, two big name managers who had not worked out. Ramsey had a good reputation as a coach, intelligent guy and apparently good at dealing with players. I was happy enough to try something different and give him a go. Didn't work out but sometimes don't. At the time supported the decision.Originally posted by dave58 View PostGood atricle from the DOF understand what he's saying I'm still not over impressed with him or if he's the right man , proof will be in the pudding , shame he didn't own up to that he made a mistake in appointing Ramsey, would appreciate and respect him more if he came out and said that

Whilst I applaud their hard work around their youth development, I would seriously hope we are nowhere near as "successful" as Crewe playing-wise....22nd in League 1Originally posted by amusant View PostClubs with a long term strategy tend to succeed - look at Southampton, Swansea, Leicester and probably the best example Crewe.

Agree Ginge. The board and Les deserve high praise for this January - They won't get it on here but they do deserve it.Originally posted by Ginger Ninja View Posthttp://mobile.qpr.co.uk//news/articl...s-2948612.aspx
Seen a lot of moaning about Les, but can't see how anyone can disagree with what he says here.

Hardly Les' fault that we've gone down the route of employing a DOF is it?Originally posted by qpr View PostHonestly speaking, every time I see his name I get angry
Imo it's the manager who says who he wants (with help from his scouts) & the chairman does the deals
I think Les is a tozser
Personally I'd also sooner have a decent manager who chooses the players we sign. That said we gave Redknapp and Hughes (both decent managers apparently, or so we thought) carte blanche in the transfer market and look where that got us.
But of course, we all love a scapegoat don't we?!!
