    Hoillett under JFH

I know it has been discussed in other threads but JH has been different gravy under JFH

I understand those that feel he has robbed us for 3 years (I agree) but the player we now have under JFH is the player we thought we were signing. I know many wouldn't want us to offer him a new contract but I will nail my flag to the post saying I'd offer him a championship pay new contract in the hope he signs.

I remember when we offered Bobby Zamora that extension after what he did to get us up and thought he was very good for most of last season. Don't think there is an issue in doing the same for hoilett. Still young, knows the club now and the fans and runs more than most in his position. Looking like a much fitter player than he was when he joined us as well.

Hard to know if its not the ending of his contract that is making him play orthe fact he is feeling more loved and confident now than he ever was previously.

Id give him a 1yr extension now and a review of his contract at the end of thus season.

Few seem to credit Hoilett with the incredible one-on-one move that got the ball to Zamora in Wembley, a man down, to win promotion. He made that play; Bobby Z finished it. Think he represents something we should stock our team with moving forward: speed. Pair a strong CF with speed all around him, including from the RB and LB positions, and JFH will be able to institute both an exciting and winning style of play.

Agreed on this. Personally, give him one year with an offer of extension on a performance basis or appearance basis.

If Phillips is going like reported i think we really do need to keep Hoilett.

The only way I'd want to see the club give hoilett a chance again is if we offered a new contract that represents a wingers wage for a championship player.

He's believed to be 40-50 k a week and he has robbed us for the last 3 years and all of a sudden 6 months to go and he wakes up, either for a new contract here or somewhere else. It's a little convenient imo.

15-20 k 2 yr deal with the club with the choice of a 3rd year then maybe but if he has expectations of anything more the. The Club should 100% look to move on.

I agree with Kevin Mcleod. He is a "must keep" if Philips leaves. Hopefully, the fans now will stop giving him all the abuse he is getting at Lofhus Road. Its a shame really.

You got to earn the respect though.

Let's not be nieve about this. He has been pretty poor for nearly 85% of the duration of his contract. The last 3 months don't make up for it.

I'm happy he's playing well atm but this is not a straight forward decision. Any new deal should be heavily reduced in the wage front with stipulations and incentive based on appearances, assists, goals because he hasn't been consistent enough.

The last thing this club needs is another traore situation where we mugged ourselves of again.
