I think they are looking to sell . The writing off of the debt imho was done to either a) make us a more attractive prospect to a potential buyer or b) have some implication on the impending ffp fine . That's it . Saw this news at 11 at night where I live and I just felt sick, was so unexpected... Great player and great servant to the club, he deserves the move because he's a top level Premier League player and we're a barely Championship team... Thanks Chaz for everything

We kept him in the summer to have a go at promotion but we can see that isn't happening now.

At least we got something for him and he's going to a club that suits him and he'll get games. Not nice to see him go but it's a deal that suits all parties in my opinion. You never know, he might have an outside chance of going to the Euros this way, or he might spend most of the season out inured. Can't complain.

No excuses now, we have to get a replacement. Doesn't have to cost the world but no more cheap crappy buys. I haven't been impressed with what Les has done for us so far but surely he should be able to source a decent striker that doesn't cost the world?

fair enough, i kind of knew that charlie wasn't injured and being saved for a potential sale. i am gutted but we have to move on now, maybe the strikers we have ie JET and polter will feel a bit more secure and want to start playing properly.
