£3m is a bit steep for a League 1 striker imo.

        hitc is so poor,
        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Was thinking that. Was playing for St Ives 3.5 years ago and Newport 18 months ago!

That said though, Austin & Andrew Gray have made similar rapid progress through the leagues and have both proven very savvy investments, so could be a wise buy.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Just seen his record at Peterbrough is 27 goals in 81 apps. Decent return but not worth £3m imo.

Has that site ever got anything correct, seen so much absolute rubbish linked form there on to this board. What is the site anyway, never click it, looks like it would infect you with a poison.

It's reporting the story from the Mail.

I'd prefer Gayle and Bamford rather than Washington.

True mate but neither of these commanded such high fees until they had played championship football

It is and it isn't, looking at what players are going for in the Champ. (Excluding Chaz...)

3 mill for a league 1 striker under contract is about right now.

If we hadn't run down Charlie's contract he would of gone for 10-12 mill.

Top chpionship strikers have been going for 8 mill plus now so league 1's top talents are fairly priced around 3-5 mill.

It's the world we live in now but I would love qpr to spend that money on another young up and coming talent.
