I'd like to see it pls
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Pretty sure i heard Les saying the players brought in over the summer are surplus to requirements while going for promotion? strange thing to say as i think Mass Luongo has been one of our best players this season. Deserves to be in the team ahead of Fer tbh.

If anyone that has watched it again could correct me if i am wrong? Heard him say something like the players we brought in wasn't with promotion in mind so thats why when CR was sacked Warnock deemed them surplus to requirements or something along them lines as now the remit has changed.

Correct Fordy. His exact quote is:

"The players we brought in over the summer we felt might not get us promoted this season, but we knew that next season they'd be better players for playing in the championship and would give us that push for next season. But obviously the remit has changed for this season and so those players under Neil Warnock became surplus to requirements."

Surplus under Warnock, maybe different under JFH. The club really needs to get a grip on what it really wants, or it's never going to have a settled squad ffs.

Possibly the most ridiculous statement I've ever read. So we bought players we didn't expect to win with? Sorry CR, you're the man but you've actually got no chance mate. Who does he think we are, Man Utd? When did we last develop a player? We send them out on loan never to be seen again.

I think Clive W summarises it quite well here:

"They were asked whether the players who were brought in under one remit and one manager may now be discarded under a new manager with a new remit. LF basically said JFH will assess everybody. He went on to say that players who were signed over the summer weren't the sort of player you'd sign for a full on tilt at promotion, but it was felt that after a year in the Championship they'd all kick on and be great for us next season. He then said the remit had changed and the players were discarded by Warnock.

Didn't sound great for Luongo, Chery, Gladwin, Polter, Smithies etc TBH but Hasselbaink will see for himself I'm sure."

To be honest I hope Chery, Luongo and Smithies are given another look.

Doesn't sound good.. Scandalous actually. But I don't know why LF said it.. Don't think there was any need? I hope JFH ignores that and gives all of them a try including Gladwin and Polter. Would also be nice to get the boys that are out on loan back so he can run the rule over them too.

Chery & Luongo more than good enough to play a part still, even with the increased expectation. Also JET, admittedly playing 2nd fiddle to Austin, he has proven he can do a very good job at this level.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
