I would like to see people employed based on their experience/track record and not because they are somebody's mate. We had no need of a DOF, especially one with zero Managerial experience. Then we get a Head Coach with zero experience. Now, with so many proven Top Managers available, we get a League one Manager in. We need to get rid of the lot of them. Hope JFH makes me eat my words though.

Well, they wanted Ramsey to rebuild, which is a long process,
but now they only want JFH to get us promoted this season,
so it all makes perfect sense in their constantly shifting worldview.

I reckon that was him who pushed for that, cos he has got bigger ambitions than us. Which is a good thing, it will, mean he's smashing it.

It makes perfect sense if you are not selective in stating what the club has annouced. Ramsey was given a mandate with the expectation that most of the senior and better players would be gone by the end of transfer window. They did not leave and who forecasted that, it was not unreasonable to shift their view of the world. I think most fans would have a higher expectation as a result. He failed and Warnock in his short time proved what could be done even without some of the key players or playing the full 90 minutes and setting out the team differently. So not unreasonable for JFH to have same mandate.

As to rolling contract, it is good business if it is a year, anything longer would not make sense given his lack of experience at this level. Two and three years contracts are the norm, so when terminated 2 years pay in compensation is paid out. The Board is slowly learning, so the most will be 12 months for JFH until he starts to deliver and gets improved terms.

Yes that's about right I reckon Leveller mate.
Ramsey was told he was losing Austin, Phillips, Fer and Sandro and had to replace them with players on a tenth of their wages and make sure we are a mid table championship club this season and consolidate for a go at promotion next season or the one after that, when none of them went we were still a premiership club in wages and he was told that is no longer good enough after he kept ALL our star players, and he proved he wasn't up for the job of handling big players and getting the required results.
Warnock has shown it's very achievable with this squad, but due to a family illness he didn't want to take the job on, and the next best man for the job was JFH after intense interviews of 12 very capable candidates

I think it is the other way round and the club have been sensible. Get rid with minimal cost if it doesn't work out / renegotiate at the end of the year if it does.

Can't see how Ramsey would get a three year deal when the dog and duck wouldn't even employ him, and an up and coming manager who has turned down other clubs would take that deal, that's why I think he was the one the most happy with it!
Can't imagine any manager leaving a club he's winning the league with for a rolling contract unless it's their choice, and let's be honest we needed him more than he needed us.
I've also got a feeling he will do to us what he's done to Burton but we will be gutted but happy cos it means he's proved his pedigree and worked wonders on us!

Had to be. We've repeatedly rodgered ourselves with silly contracts, and this aspect of the JFH deal means there are signs that someone is getting a grip.
