    The Best XI...

Why do we keep playing around here. Short of injuries, and all the clever talk about everyone competing for every position, when are we going to move into this starting XI?

    Green
    Perch Onouha Angella Yun
    Sandro
    Phillips Luongo Chery
    Fer
    Austin

Behind them, we have a few solid midfielders (Faurlin, Tozser, Mackie), one emerging ace CB (Hall), and Polter/Jet/Blackwood on the front depending on who's hot. Henry and Hill? Injury replacements only. Konchesky (to spell Yun). Smithies to sub for Green if he bone-heads another loss. We don't need Warnock, Hughes, or Sir Alex. We need common sense leadership. Like CR personally, but if he does't have tactical smarts let's address that by either hiring that genius to work with CR, or replace CR.

This team is simply too good and deep in talent to suffer through tactless, ticky tack football.

That is more or less the team tho thought Faurlin looks better than Luongo on recent showings.

Problem, though, is not the best team on paper, it is the lack of leadership both in the dressing room and on the pitch.

You may be right there -- but what is the answer to that? Players stepping up? The manager stepping up? TF?

Well you need a manager with leadership skills who then instils it in key, senior players. We dont have that. (We did with Warnock and Clint Hill).

I dont know what the solution is tho. Our club seems cursed the last few years.

Is it really the personnel that are the problem? To me it's the structure of the team and the way they play. We're clueless. And this so called manager is supposed to be a fantastic coach!!!

I swear if he starts Henry again the fans are going to lose it. We continue to have a non-agressive, non-compelling, boring style of play. Henry, nice chap and all, personifies that. Change the personnel from CR's favorites, change the style of play, and change the patter about blaming all of our ills on personal mistakes.

Like HR, CR seems to take no responsibility here...and that's why ask many on and beyond this blog are calling for him to be replaced. How 'bout saying, "this was a bad game, an inexcusable team performance, and I've got to do a better job getting our players to play up to their ability, and play as a team"?

Is that really so hard to say, especially when that's what nearly every Ranger fan is already thinking?
