Greens a good keeper and don't want to slate him for the sake of it. He can pull of work does then let in very soft goals.
Where we are as a club right now I would say selling him makes sense. He's on 30 plus k a week and we could get 2-3 mill for him as a 35 year old. It would make sense to Buy the Southend keeper or smithies.
The only reason I slightly worry about losing green is its another leader experienced pro leaving the club.

In all seriousness, if Green does go, and we replace him with Smithies or Bentley, I won't grumble too much. To blame him for the goal is ridiculous though imo.Top Scorers 2018/2019

No its not. NEAR POST!! lol........... In all seriousness, probably did have a couple too many beers yesterday. Point stands tho, he's out of position again though I wouldn't apportion all the blame on him, defence should be closing that shot down as well.Originally posted by Ginger Ninja View Post

That was not a near post situation at all. Green should have been two feet left or right from his point of view. Perhaps the shot was a surprise, waited for a cross? Good shot anyway.Originally posted by bakes8 View PostNo its not. NEAR POST!! lol........... In all seriousness, probably did have a couple too many beers yesterday. You understand Goalkeepers are taught at about age 8 that they must take their position from the near post? He's too near the middle of the goal as the bloke strikes. Keepers should never be beaten on that side.Originally posted by Timmy the Doc View PostThat was not a near post situation at all. Very nice strike tho.
Of the 4 goals Greeno has conceeded, I reckon he could've done better with 3. First at Chalton 100% his fault, near post. 2nd at Valley a 25 yarder, good strike but bounced twice, better footwork could've saved it and yesterdays equalizer a top keep saves that 100%.

Unless the guy is central and the bloke yesterday wasn't you will always have a near post and a far one. Whilst this wasn't a near post situation like the one v Charlton which was blatant, this was near post nonetheless.Originally posted by Timmy the Doc View PostBakes8, perhaps you don't understand what is a near post situation and when it applies and that's why you use wrong terminology.
But we both agree he should have been two feet left.
