Ok, the bad news is that gayle has stated that he has no desire to leave the premiership.

also we do not have that kind of money to spend unless we sell austin which, is looking doubtful.

I read that and that's the reason Gayle is not interested in joining Bristol City.Perhaps Andre Gray would be a suitable alternative and more affordable?

In fact I'm not all that excited about Gayle. He's a decent player but by no means is he anywhere near as good a goalscorer as Austin and the like.

Not that I know off, but I would take Steve Bruce over Carlton Palmer.

They want 6m for Gayle, we want 15m for Charlie, both players need a move and there doesn't seem to be anyone else in for Charlie at the moment. It really doesn't take the worlds greatest businessman to be able to put this one together. Surely the board must be thinking about trying to engineer something. 8m or 9m coming our way in addition to the exchange is fair business for everyone in my opinion!

As for Gayle... i've not ever seen what all the fuss is about. Decent yes, but all this talk of being the best in the league if he came etc.... seriously...? He's hardly set the world allight has he.

Is he though? I mean i can't properly comment as i'll admit i've not really followed him since joining Norwich but i've seen a few comments from their fans suggesting when he's actually had game time, he's been good and that they generally rate him there.
