Think we have to just move on from Charlie now personally, I cant see him being fully focused here if his move didn't come about and he'd always be looking for his way back to Prem, probably trying to engineer a move in January.

I'd be saying its £13m this week. £15m next week and £20m on transfer deadline day.

No way will Charlie sign a new contract. Would love to see it but he didn't when we were a Prem club so why would he now? Love to see him stay for the season and fire us to promotion though.......

Get him out now and get a forward and a CB in ASAP

He'll go to West Ham once his mate Barton gets a contract

I also think if he is going to go it will be on deadline day... and it will be a last minute thing from a club wanting to see if they can get him on the cheap.

If i was a Spurs or Newcastle i would be waiting til deadline day to see if they can get him for 2-3 mill quid cheaper. They'll know we want to sell, he is in the final year of his contract. Its either that or no one coming in for him and waiting to get him on a free next season.
He's got a long wait then!

Club should put a news item out saying he is injured, will be gutted if he goes on the last day

My take on this....we want to offer a new contract, because?...We don't want to lose him for nothing. Charlie it seems wants to go, and if he stayed with
us would be better off not signing a new contract. All this will do is give Charlie and his agent more power and they will say you couldn't sell me for
£15mill so i want a lower get out clause.
So we might as well drop our price now (something I've been adamant we shouldn't do) and not have a half hearted player in the squad

I think you are along the right lines. There have been plenty of examples in the past (albeit in the prem) where in demand players have been coming up to the last year of their contract, but have accepted a new one PURELY to ensure the parent club doesnt get mugged off and lose them for nothing.

If by some miracle Charlie is still with us past the transfer window I wouldnt at all be surprised to see him offered, and accept a new contract. Not with the intention of him staying for that period, but simply to ensure that we do get a fee for him.

The club could even put in a minimum fee release of 15m. That way there are no excuses. Clubs will no EXACTLY what it takes to get him then. Not a penny less- thats his price if you want him.

And IF, by some divine miracle he does stay past this transfer window...he seems the type of guy to go for that too. He's not a bad egg at all our Charlie. He's just understandably unsure of where his future lies due to all this constant speculation despite nobody actually putting their money where their mouth is.

                    Last ditch desperation from QPR.

Now its clear we may not get a firm bid for the advertised price, and he may go for £0 in a year, they're obviously trying to tie him up so we can get dough for him. Tbh this offers zero to Charlie and everything to us. Can't see why he'd even think about it.

Just accept less for him IMO.

See through tactics from the club to try to force someone to stump up £15m - everyone with eyes can see he won't sign another contract with us.

£10m on deadline day forcing us to panic loan someone like Maiga again and leaving us short in defence

Means chaz aint gone anywhere yet i reckon. And he wont be going anywhere with that ridiculous price tag on him.
Put a pair of your old socks on ebay for five hundred quid, you can do it but they will never ever sell.
