Should have taken him after the second leg of the semi against Wigan, at the latest or from the toon when we got Simpson.Originally posted by upperloft View PostVery decent player, think we should have gone after him a few years ago. Anyone know what the transfer fee is?Kept the faith!

to be fair most CBs peak around their early 30s as they're more experienced and can read the game better. I assume Perch will be our RB, he's not the sharpest tool in the box so if he starts losing his athleticism his game will suffer a lot. I agree that talent is more important than age but let's be honest Perch has never shone at any level.Originally posted by kenthoop View PostSince when did 29 become old for a defender?! Most defenders are in their prime between 27-31, so 29 is not old in the slightest! Irritates me when players are classed as "too old" as soon as they hit 30 - Dunne, Nelson and Hill have been our best defenders over the last 3/4 years, and they're well into their 30s.
An uninspiring signing but could be a solid, dependable cog in the machine. So welcome to QPR and I wish him all the best.
