He is 31, in the last 5 years he has played 151 league games including 40 in the Championship. In this time he has scored a staggering 29 goals of which 14 were in the Championship season. Stealing a living does not even come close.

He's no world beater is he? Personally though I'd have him on a free if he was happy with 2 years and a Championship salary. He'd be a useful option in that league and a different proposition to any of our other strikers!

He's been linked with us many times over the last few seasons, particularly when Redknapp was here, and chose to stay on the bench at West Ham. In my opinion, those rumours are feasible and if he wanted to play for us, he could have already done so.
