I disagree with that post. The ethos of the club has changed already and we have 4 youngsters already brought in. But Ramsey has said you can't play a youth team in this league and still need a few older and experienced players in the squad and first team.

You might not like Cole which is fair enough but signing him or players like him is not against the new ethos.

The clubs mandate is not now we only sign. Players under 25 who haven't played championship football. Our fans need to get more realistic with this new ethos rubbish that keeps getting banded around and that anyone over 28 doesn't fit in.

Will divide opinion on this one but I would love him to join us for a season or two.

Think he'd be very useful and handy in the chpionship. Would bully defenders and score goals and available on a free.

Great signing for any championship team if he drops a division.

Really dont think this is the sort of player we will be looking at now under this new regime , i agree he would be a solid addition but i think we really are changing the recruitment style of things now.

He is 31, in the last 5 years he has played 151 league games including 40 in the Championship. In this time he has scored a staggering 29 goals of which 14 were in the Championship season. Stealing a living does not even come close.

Actually, I think it does go against the ethos. Of course the team should be a mixture of youth and experience, but the experienced players should not be sub-standard, ex-Premier League players who are looking for one last payday. e. g. Carlton Cole.

Part of the "new ethos" is that we sign players who want to play for QPR. I can't for a minute believe that Cole is busting to play for us.
