Ideal Starting XI vs Charlton

Assuming the loss of Austin, Sandro and Traore, here's my hoped-for starting 11 v Charlton in early August:

Green (looks like he's going to stay)
Furlong (this could be a big season for the youngster)
Onouha (the captain plays like one)
Caulker (very optimistic about a turnaround season)
Yun (weak second half in PL due to injuries; healthy and fast)
Henry (keys defensive midfield)
Phillips (speed and gathering experience -- arguably most explosive member of the team now)
Faurlin (inspires the whole club, and plays for the team not himself)
Fer (time for this Dutch second teamer to play like a first teamer)
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (exciting prospect; tall and rangy)
Reece Grego-Cox (dark horse candidate for a breakout year)

Bench: McCarthy Hill Hoilett Luongo Doughty Polter Mackie

Looks good. I would be surprised if Phillips and Fer will still be around. Maybe swap Phillips with Petrasso. Not sure who will take Fers place

Doughty is my bright hope; i thought he looked very composed during the second half at Villa away...

I would be happy with Mackie, as for Hill no way. We need to build for the future, Hill is not the future

Really not sure as I know little about the two ex Swindon players. Pretty sure JET will start, but don't know anything about him or where he plays. Hope Austin, Phillips and Fer are sorted out ASAP. If they are to go, I want them to go sooner, rather than later. Any of them starting and then leaving will be bad for morale.

I reckon that's pretty close Matty. Hoilett imo won't be first choice under Ramsey. Think gladwin could replace him in that role if we don't bring anyone else in.

Henry and faurlin have the potential to be a very good pairing.

Agree on Austin. I'm hoping that Henry/Faurlin could be the new Derry/Faurlin - one mopping up and one dictating the play. Great partnership in that season.
