polter is on 33/1 with most, although you can get 100/1 in places (bet365).

austin is at 20/1 and tom hitchcock is about 80/1.

if sam vokes can stay fit, then 40/1 are very good odds.

Doesnt matter as much if it does happen. We have the loan window to fall back on. We didn't when Remy left.

            Yeah true. Is maigo available?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Whilst it would be lovely to have a player that is guaranteed to get 25 goals, I would be more than happy if they could be shared about a bit with plenty of players grabbing between 10 and 15. Far more difficult to plan against if virtually all the midfielders are capable of banging them in.

A certain Mr Lampard was his team's top scorer for years.

Spot on. United started dominating when they had Hughes up top who would never get 20+, but he'd get double figures along with MdClair, Sharpe, Giggs, Cantona, Kanchelskis etc etc etc Then it was Yorke, Cole, Sheringham, Solksjaer, Giggs, Beckham, Scholes etc. It later changed when Van nistelrooy was there and he tended to be the one everyone looked for, which is great when he's on song, but if suddenly injured or off form, things dont click. Was similar towards Henry's latter years at Arsenal, he had become the goals focus and if he strugled so did the team.

Been caught out with that one before so I really hope we don't see the same again, except I think we will. Austin is to good a player at just £15m to not get snapped up. Late in the day, when clubs don't get certain targets, he's a perfect fit for not a fortune.
I think if the club don't need to sell, the player is happy to stay and sign an extension, with a clause that would kick in january you could do it.
But you need the above in place imo...........

Have to agree. Once Austin gets marked out of the game, we can't score any goals !

I had some money on him going to Palace a few weeks ago. Friend who supposedly knows someone said they were signing Cabaye and we all laughed. Missed out on 16/1 there. He then said Remy or Austin was the main target for the rest of the window so wasn't going to miss out again. Think its a good fit to be fair.
