Good fun evening out, Neil was great - lots of funny anecdotes and a great raconteur. His excuse for not replying to all the emails yet was classic.

It was actually very reasonable but he explained it in a v funny way. Said that he'd received literally thousands of emails and many of them were quite long personal stories, so there was no way he could do a standard reply to each one. He genuinely intended to when he retired but he kept getting new job offers. He still intends to do so though and you could tell he was clearly very moved by the warm reception he got tonight and clearly still has a lot of love for the club. He raffled off one of his own signed shirts from the Championship winning season too.

Said our promotion was his best year in football and that hes still planning on answering all the emails at some stage.
