What happened to Ramsey removing the "bad eggs" in the squad (of which Barton is probably the worst)? Was this not stated quite explicitly less than a month ago? Now we want him to stay on as a player/coach? For anyone who was unsure beforehand, this Ramsey experiment is going to end in tears.

That is a completely arbitrary argument. Do you have any evidence to support that claim?Originally posted by Alanwycombe View PostNobody works harder for us than Barton and Henry. If we're going to play kids we need their example. Barton appears to have grown up at last so why not? Could still do job in the Prem.

That's so not true. Watch QPR tunnel cam for a start. Opposing players and mangers go out of their way to greet Joey and say hello. It's obvious he's popular with our players and staff bar the self serving likes of Isla.Originally posted by bakes8 View PostReally? I'd guess 90% of people in the football world think Barton's a bell-end.

Tunnel-cam? Oh well, I'm convinced then.Originally posted by Rangers77 View PostThat's so not true. Watch QPR tunnel cam for a start. Check it out. Ninety percent of the opposition should be blanking him. Not slapping him on the back, shaking his hand, greeting him warmly or swapping shirts with him. Equally very few footballers eagerly appear on the media with someone they consider a bellend. Or media folk invite one on a show. Regularly.Originally posted by bakes8 View PostTunnel-cam? I'm not saying that. I'm saying that without proof, comments like "Barton works harder than anyone" mean absolutely nothing.Originally posted by Rangers77 View PostHis eyes. My eyes. Most fair minded people's eyes. Say what you like about him, but you can't say he doesn't put a shift in.

Even if that is the case (which I'm not sure it is), I struggle to see why that means Barton in a player/coach role for us would be 'brilliant'. You've not actually explained why it would be beneficial to us. His best years are far behind him as a player, there is no question that he is a distruptive influence, his conduct both on and off of the pitch is not exactly what could be described as professional, and he'll still want £40-50k a week in wages. You think it's a great idea '77, so sell me on it.Originally posted by Rangers77 View PostNo. Think you'll find beyond a large number of people on here that Joey's well respected and liked in the football world.Last edited by surrey_hoop; 24-05-2015, 12:09 PM.

I'm really not checking it out 77. You normally talk a lot of sense but your Barton specs are obscuring your vision this time.Originally posted by Rangers77 View PostCheck it out. Bloke works hard on the pitch but he has miles less talent than he thinks, a complete embarrassment off the pitch and gets on TV all the time cos he's an opinionated lemon who can't keep his trap shut.

XWasn't expecting you too, Bakes. Life's too short. And I agree with you about, er, Joey's fondness for talking.....Originally posted by bakes8 View PostI'm really not checking it out 77. You normally talk a lot of sense but your Barton specs are obscuring your vision this time.
