We are not in need of an attacking coach, our issues lie defensively. Villa already were solid enough defensively this season but lacked an attack. We haven't lacked the attacking but we are poor defensively. Poyet would have been better than Sherwood in that sense.

Isla vs Bacuna = QPR
Onuoha vs Okore = QPR
Caulker VS Clark = QPR
Yun Suk-young vs Lowton = Draw

Barton vs Delph = Draw
Sandro VS Cleverley = QPR
Hoillet VS Sinclair = Villa
Zamora vs Agbonlahor = Villa
Austin vs Benteke = Draw

Thats not even Villa's best team. Where is Vlaar? Hutton? Westwood? Also Delph is much better than Barton.

I just took their line up from the last game they played. Delph is having a good year, doesn't make him a better player. Hutton is solid at best and is/was considered a joke player at previous clubs and Westwood is no world beater either.

We have good players...they just dont play well for us.

On what basis can you decide if somebody is a better player other than playing well? And Delph isnt just having a good year, more like a good few seasons.

Spot on!!!!.... Ive said it a few times and still stand by it, that we have the players to stay up. When you look at each 'individual' player in the squad we have more than enough talent to stay up.... 'BUT' for what ever reason they have just not performed- (imo its down to pretty much a whole season of bad management- formations/team selection/bad use of subs etc etc)

As far as I remember before his appointment by Villa, he said he had discussion with QPR but both parties finally agreed it would better for both of them not to sign. It looks like he knew he didn't have the resources that would help keep us up.
