I'm sure he could when he returns from injury but why would you want to play him where Phillips is doing so well atm?

Yes, but no need as Phillips has been brilliant in that role lately.

Furlong is ahead of Isla now.

I still say now if we had given Hitchcock a run of games things would have turned out differently for him, I bet his dad is gutted!

Isla can play centre midfield like he has before for Chile. Might need him there now with these injuries and Joey suspended.

He won't do well in the champs..

He's a prem player now so will demand a transfer when we go down!

Agree that the boy did well, but don´t think he lacks in attacking qualities, as he was involved in the build up to our goal among other things. I don´t mind it Nasser, but to avoid abuse here you should probably consider using the term 'well' in the parts underlined above.

Furlong was excellent from the first whistle, good positional sense, sharpe and seemed very assured for a young lad making his debut in a pretty important game. Doughty on the other hand struggled a little to get up with the pace of the game and to be honest offered little.

One hopes so, but Chris did it against Soton.

First game to be fair. Didn't play Doughty either.

Well happy he was given a game. But Isla has to be first choice right back imo, he's brilliant for us most games. Furlong as backup though.
