I'm in the I think it will be worth a go camp.
People are naturally skeptical of his experience but as mentioned many times, two of the most experienced managers have ruined us. For me he's worth a shot, if not for a different angle than the usual big name old boy appointment.
Could be a surprise who knows??

Jogo think you will find Sherwood though they were not good enough for him. Rejected both WBA pre season Palace and BrightonLeave a comment:

Problem is, who is actually available?
We'd have to do what Palace did and get a decent manager from another club but I bet the Board won't do it due to all the compensation costs involved (both sides).Leave a comment:

Sherwood would be another poor appointment, know some of the coaches at Sours despite being s young manger has fairly old outdated methods, very similar to redknapp but a little younger. If true I really despair that we will ever make a decent appointment!Leave a comment:

I think the general lack of big/glamorous movement in transfer window so far is just causing media and journos to make up any old twaddle to fill some column inches. I pay more heed to scribbles on bog walls than crud emanating or propagated on likes of Twitter.Leave a comment:

Agree with above f-fox...the rumour is prob rubbish....I mean to say you're sacked if we lose to man u is like putting two men in a duel
giving one a sabre and the other a pencil!Leave a comment:

If this is all true and it happens, Sherwood would be a truly awful appointment. Might as well prepare for the Championship now.Leave a comment:

yeah agree ...LunarIf anything Sherwood is a few levels below Howe. Howe has a good few years experience managing under his belt compared to Sherwood's 6 months.
I'd want to see how Sherwood would do managing a 'normal' team first, i.e. not one with millions to spend and sitting comfortably in the top half of the Premier League looking at the European places.
He's far from proven as a manager, just think the press loved him so hsve built up this image of a decent manager/bloke when there's no real evidence to suggest he is or isn't.....Leave a comment:

I'd be trying to persuade Paul Clement to come and manage us. Bit of a long shot as he's a coach at probably the biggest club in the world but with his QPR connection and the fact he's obviously an excellent coach its a no brainer.Leave a comment:

I don't have any particular view on Sherwood but surprised at extent of negativity on here. Is young and acquitted himself well at Spurs during his short spell in charge. Had best overall record of any manager there in recent years. Was highly rated as a coach before then. No idea if he would be right appointment for us but on face of it would appear to at least tick some boxes.
I suspect nothing much in Redknapp rumour anyway. We are expected to be beaten by Manure so find it hard to believe a game against them would be viewed as make or break. If the story had said 'Arry has say three games to get back on track more be more believable. We can but hope though.Leave a comment:
