Don't think any manager you employ at any club is 'guaranteed success'.

[QUOTE=QPR Richard;1370038]How many years' management experience has Sherwood got? Apart from this win ratio you mention, [B]what "success" has Sherwood had?[B][QUOTE]

Does it matter? Harry has 30 odd years experience in football management, and has only won a single trophy....we considered him to be the right man for the job on those grounds. Come up with a way to quantify "success" in relative terms within football, and I'll tell you if Sherwood has achieved it or not.

You're making a case for Sherwood based on what? How many seasons has he repeated the 50% win ratio?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I'm making a case for Sherwood based on the fact that he did what was expected of him at Spurs (which none of our managers have achieved for a very long time), and was in my mind extremely hard done by to get sacked. He would find it extremely difficult to repeat the 50% win ratio without being given a job first. Think of a better suggestion for the job, with a reasoned opinion why, and I'll happily concede. If not, then you have to acknowledge that he should at least be a candidate.

Just one question; With Hoodle at the helm would that mean we should play 3-5-2 again? Some of the players we bought during the last window we brought in for that porpose. Why is so difficult for the players to warm to that system. With Hoodle at the helm he might go for it whateve some of the players say.

Harry is shot to bits now,Looks as ill as we all do at 4.45 every week,If we keep this numpty til the end if the season then the game is up end of.
Im warming to Sherwood made a good fist of it at spurs while there,He wasnt worried about egos and told them exactly who was running the show.
He also gave Harry kane and bentoleb starts in the first team,Rangers need a man with self confidence and a bit of arrogance,Tim has both i feel and he wont let some of our shower take the mick like they have been doing.
Maybe the Spurs job was too big for him but we aint tottenham, time to be a little more realistic i think.

I'm warming to this way of thinking.

As said on other threads, could hardly do any worse than the last two idiots who've spent over Ł100m to have us stuck in the bottom 3.

It didn't work cos none of our Centre backs have any pace or leadership about them that's why it became a no go after Rio dropped out

You said: His profile is as high as it is going to be. That is my believe to.
This is why I think he is going to listen to big money offers. I did NOT say that offer from QPR would be the best he would get. All likelyhood ii would be the biggest money though.
HR is still the manager. There are others in dangers like Villa, Sunderland, Hull and Leicester. IMO all of those would consider Howe.
All these clubs, including ours, is bigger club than Bournemouth. I think a good offer from any of them would interest him.

Ah yes agreed ,but he comes across as a bright lad and he would see a move to QPR could do more harm than good to his profile , I'm not sure he would have money to spend or big wages as it appears TF wont release money for players in an attempt to stay up , also cant see us paying compo to Bournmouth

I wonder how the players would react to Sherwood's brand of self-confidence?

"The Times claims that, while the club admitted results under Sherwood had been good enough, chairman Daniel Levy was forced to act on Tuesday lunchtime because he was worried by the former head of football development's outspoken nature, both towards the board and his players.
He publicly fell out with midfielder Sandro earlier this season and the Brazilian, who claimed the dressing room had been downbeat under Sherwood, admitted to ESPN he had been looking forward to head coach's departure. Furthermore, Sherwood's persistent refusal to play club-record signing Erik Lamela, who he maintained was injured, also caused friction between him and the board."

Personally I thought Sherwood came across as a bit of a c0ck. I would not want him as our next manager. Whoever it is must be experienced at handling premiership egos and be able to get the best out of his (or her, I'd rather take Corinne Diacre than Tim Sherwood) players. They need to be an astute tactician, and a modern, flexible thinker.
