we can live in hope, but this is QPR. not since the 1st window under Tango and Cash have QPR done their business early in the January window.

My expectations are for QPR to haggle and procrastinate until late January.

Being an R's fan during the transfer window is like being a kid at Xmas. I know we've had more then our fare share of bad ones, but for me its still really exciting!

Defoe and either Lennon or Townsend please, along with at least one past it 30+yr old ex Champions League winner please ;)

Defoe is a proven goalscorer in the PL, but anything longer than a 1 year deal would be financial suicide. The lad's 32 and on 90k a week - for the mathematicians amongst you, that's £14m in wages over 3 years. I don't see how we could justify a long term deal, especially when his best days are already behind him. Would be a step back to the Hughes days for me. I have no problem with a 6 month loan though.

In terms of getting all of our business done early...it isn't gonna happen. Redknapp is offered players throughout the entire month of January (which he has admitted before in pressers) and will not be able to resist taking a punt on 1 or 2 on TDD. I would imagine the "big" deals like Lennon and Townsend are well on their way already.
