Wouldn't blame Harry at all for denying rumours in the media - stops other teams from becoming interested in the player.

Doesnt mean hes talking bollix, if he said we were in talks, that would alert other teams to his situation and we would more likely face competition.

I like that he really emphasised that Salah wasn't available. Just kept saying don't think he is available or wouldn't imagine he is available. Like he is just telling everyone to back off haha

Exactly. If we do get him no one will be thinking about Harry talking bollix, just that we made a pretty decent signing.

QPR are interested in Marseille forward Andre-Pierre Gignac, reports in France claim.

The 29-year-old, who has scored 12 goals in 19 Ligue 1 games this season, is out of contract in the summer and Rangers are said to be among several Premier League clubs monitoring him.

Newcastle, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Stoke are also apparently interested, but reports suggest Marseille want Gignac to sign a deal with them this month so they receive a transfer fee for a player who has served them for five years.
