QPR will never ever be able to do that without losing £40M per year, because the income generated from Loftus Road is no where near enough to pay the wages and fees needed to have enough good players in the squad to perform that well.

absolutely. what's the point of paying to have all these plans drawn up and them running consultations when they don't own the land or at least have a deal in place with the land owners?

It's arrogance and bordering insanity not to mention amateurish.

then we do what Brighton did and build from the bottom in a lower league

Could it be his way of getting more money for his land?

When Leicester City were looking to move away from Filbert Street, we had a couple of false starts before we built the new stadium, and that was one of the causes of our financial problems - only one, mind you: spending shedloads of money on lousy players didn't help.

It's a really difficult call for your board, although it's easy to see the longer-term attraction of a new stadium reasonably close to the existing one. And presumably the Loftus Road site would be worth a shedload of money?

Not sure Fulham were blowing £40m a year when they consistently finished top 10, and they are similar in size.

I like your thinking but unfortunately it won't happen while in an 18k stadium.
Better players are after one thing, and one thing only, and that is big wages. A bigger stadium gives us the means to pay bigger wages while staying financially secure, which will attract better players more able to do what you say above.

I would confidently guess that those that built up and run car giant into the biggest car dealership in Europe based their corporate decision making on matters other than whether Clive Wilson was the most underrated QPR player of all time

Not sure bigger wages is the answer to our prayers, big wages is the only thing we currently offer and we still buy poorly.
