Maybe for the club we are now but Southampton didn't always sell out the dell at what 15000 ? Times change mate and we better start changing with them or we will get left behind . Fulham went from 4000 crowds to mid twenties on a regular basis . We've got a much bigger fan base than them , so long as it's marketed well and competitively priced with a stable premier league season every year I think we might surprise a few on here . Just my opinion

I agree. Thing is though, a team just intent on 'surviving' in the Premiership, isn't going to have people beating a path to our door. A change of direction in terms of ambitions will also be key.
A winning team collecting trophies on a regular basis, can fill the biggest of stadiums.

Tell you what Kev, I've worked on a number of single story extensions & garages where the calculations have been done & footings poured for a double story to be added to if they choose to in the future.

Thinking about it further we've done 2 loft conversions too where we put the steels in for dormers & they couldn't afford it at the time so they just had a 'velux' job done.

New stadium? At last I say, its years and years overdue, and we've been plumetting down the pecking order because of it.
Ironically, the same fans who want us to stay a small club still think our chief rivals are Chelsea, like back in the '70s.
Its laughable and absurd, absurdly laughable, and laughably absurd.

News. They've moved on, and in the main don't even recognise us as rivals anymore (unless they're in their late 50s). But if the clever marketing men can fill a 40k stadium full of Rangers in the future, maybe we get back some of the lost ground. Also, the fan who decided to start supporting QPR yesterday is just as important as the fan for 50 years imo. Respect.

See where you are coming from regarding the new stadium. Kids get a bye but fans that supported Man Utd/Liverpool/Spurs etc till they moved into the "New Queens Park" and were converted by the clever marketing men to wave a flag at the new stadium will never be a proper QPR fan. These marketing men are going to need to manufacture and convert new locals and existing fans of other teams to fill this stadium. Also i am a bit worried about our identity as i see more more Tarquin like supporters and tourists down the rangers and them waving them foam hands and flags in the new stadium may well be too much for me.

Exactly said this before but this is what Arsenal have done. The super structure/foundations is for a capacity of 100k if they wanted to expand

I would say this is where we the proper fans have to take a lead and ensure that those that perhaps attend sporadically or who are new (lets say from new houses) are taken by the atmosphere etc of the die hards so they buy in too QPR and start attending regularly

the bloke that owns car giant says he has been offered a lot more money from other parties ,so who will he sell too ,housing developments or a football stadium ,which will bring the price of property down straight away ,if the car giant bloke is to be believed we should start looking elsewhere

Not a lot of places left for TF and pals to execute their longterm plan. Unigate and BBC are gone. To be honest looking at the track record since when they took over 3 years ago i cant see them getting this right and it all coming together. Turning a small club into a big club is no easy thing as TF has found out already and wheres the training ground and academy ? that is more important to us as a club..all gone very quiet on that. They havent even got the land at OOC yet they are on the PR wagon bigging up London's new entertainment complex.

The job I'm on now has asked us to oversize the Mains, Boiler, Clyinder etc to accommodate any future extensions, and also asked us to leave tees into heating to allow for the extra rads etc when the time comes

just bought a pair of strides 2 sizes to big for me ,for when i get back from my hols ,they will be a nice comfy fit
