Remy could be target for Arsenal
Olivier Giroud's injury against Everton could keep him out for 3 months.

Wenger just doesn't fancy him does he?Originally posted by Shepherds Mush View PostWould love to see Remy swapped for Podolski although, unfortunately, that would NEVER happen.
Got a good goal return & always looks a player that gives 100% & produces. Strange one that.
Seems a good egg too. Also joking around & seems a good team mate.

hasn't remy already signed for c******? or was it spuds? or newcastle?
i might be wrong but i don't think wenger fancies remy at all. it's been rumoured that he wants him every transfer window since remy came to us, but there doesn't seem to have been a single bid made.
as far as the cost goes, remy would be dirt cheap to a*senal even at his current wages... if you buy into the "he's a £20m striker available for £8m" argument, then spread across a 4-year contract that's £60k less being charged to the accounts every week than would be for any equivalent striker.
(to put it into context - £100k wages plus £40k contract write-off per week (based on £8m fee over 4 years) = £140k per week in the accounts... özil costs around £305k per week (£140k wages + £165k contract write_off per week (based on £42m fee over 5 years))

Actually, Arsenal were being linked with him for at least 3-4 windows before we got him. It's Remy's agent. It's clear to me that he wants to go there, but it's not reciprocal.Originally posted by klonk View Posthasn't remy already signed for c******? or was it spuds? or newcastle?

Doesn't the transfer window finish on Monday (1st)?Originally posted by Jimmy Rabbit View PostDoesn't matter if Wenger hasn't ever come in for him at all.
Point is he has until 11pm on August 31st to come in & chances are high he will.
Relatively small fee, decent player, short up front & a move that would favour Remy.
Seems to me to be a matter of when not if.

I know, its strange. Hard worker, good goal return, been in and around the German squad for 10 years....would be an absolute stonker of a signing for a club like usOriginally posted by Jimmy Rabbit View PostWenger just doesn't fancy him does he?
