    Agree totally.
Remy's treated our club with disdain, and if he plays for us come the start of the season, it won't be because he wants to be here, to play for our club, but because he will have to.
Would be behind Charlie Austin in the pecking order, had I anything to do with it.

Agree with W12 but you have to play your best team/players. If Remy is performing best you play him, that includes training as well. Still think he will be gone before September 2nd though.

Don't think anyone doubts Remy's ability to score goals, just that some of us aren't what you'd call impressed with his total lack of commitment to our club.

Who honestly thought Barton would put on a hooped shirt again after the citeh game?

Honestly believe he shouldn't have been deprived of one. He's come back a better person for it though.

You could have exactly the same about Joey Barton at the beginning of last season. He said he would never play for us in the championship and was desperate to get a permanent move to Marseille, yet wasnt prepared to take a wage cut.

Is this situation with Remy all that different?

Why not wait to see what his attitude is like before crucifying him, or wait to see how many goals he scores for us - goals which could be crucial in whether we survive or not.

Do you remember what his goal stats were last time he played for us in the prem? Quite good, weren't they, but its easy to dismiss that because you happen to have some issues with his alleged iffy character. Redknapp says he's never been a minute's problem and has a good professional attitude, and he hasn't said the same about all our players in the last 18 months.

Anyone who doesn't think we could do with Remy ready for action is deluding themselves. Just imo, of course ;)

We have three strikers in Remy, Austin and Zamora. This is an ideal situation for us. I doubt we could have signed any striker comparable to Remy this summer without losing a fortune in transfer fees.

Imagine having only Austin and Zamora. Austin has been excellent for us last season, and Zamora finished strong. However, Zamora has aged and is not consistent anymore, and Austin is not proven at this level. Both have questionable fitness and cannot be expected to stay uninjured and fit the entire season.

What would have happened if we started the season with only Austin and Zamora, and the two simply could not produce goals due to dips in fitness, form and/or injuries? It just so happens that we have retained Taarabt, but relying on him as our main striker for any extended period of time would have been a poor gamble at best.

With Remy here for at least the first half of this season, we are assured of consistent goals from Remy, some from Austin and perhaps a few from Zamora as well, and little to no risk of having no viable strikers.

I can understand why some of you are annoyed by Remy's personal ambitions, but as a striker he has always produced goals for us. I think he has enough drive and self-motivation to give us goals this season as well, at least while he is still here, and that is all that should matter.

If we fail in the first half of this season, our strikers won't be the problem.

The real question is how our midfielders and defenders will perform.

Well this is a good chance for both Remy and QPR. Remy to prove his worth and force a move and for QPR to get the points needed to stay up. that's all I care about and then no problem If we sell him in January and bring someone on loan.

Id rather have him than not.
                            Spot on.

Some say Remy has a high opinion of himself, but Jesus so does W12. Don't dare have a different opinion to him.

So IF we're doing ok in January and he walks away we have to search for a fall-back striker in 4 weeks and wait for him to bed-in during February? Far too risky. Better to bring someone else in now.

If you have the spare 10m and know the player who will sit on the bench till jan - when, btw, it is every bit as likely that he stays.

As for commitment that some posters (not you) have mentioned, why is stephen caulker showing ambition for coming to us and remy being a traitor for wanting to play at the highest level?
