Wonder if the remy saga is holding up other purchases? Club set out a clear - and by the sounds of its, modest - budget but now if remy stays that is fantastic but probably accounts for half our budget. Prob why all gone quiet on the over priced deeny for instance.

If we do keep him I wouldnt expect him to stay beyond January anyway tbh.

Same here mate. I don't know why but I've always thought that about him, that he wouldn't treat us bad... think he's got a bit of respect for HR and TF.

agree with this, my hunch is unless a top side come in for him he will play for us this season. I'd be more than happy with that

Very good shout. Plus, high numbers of French speaking contingent at Newcastle also could have helped.

Remy aint in the ireland squad because hes no where near fit to be involved. As for Newcastle they can jog on unless they pay big money.

Not sure any of this is true. Pardew fell out publicly with Remy at he end of the season, when Remy said he was injured and Pardew said that he was saving himself for the world cup. If they wanted to buy him why didn't they do something last season? Don't think they will want to pay the transfer price or his wages and I can't see us coming down. Also not sure Remy was particularly keen on living in Newcastle. I think these rumours have been started by the Newcastle fans.

It's pretty clear: Either pay the higher release clause for a non-champions league club or F**k off!

No is as straightforward as it gets to be fair

He's not in squad as he's on holiday still I reckon, personally not reading anything into that at all.
