                          looked pretty average for liverpool several years ago. now pops up playing for holland and they finish third in the world cup. why is it some countries can turn relatively average players into world beaters and we seem to do the opposite?

                              He always works his socks off, I love players like him and Mackie, but most of the fans here were never keen on Mackie so doubt they'd welcome Kuyt, would probably tell him to go fly one.

                                  Erm..... Not sure u can compare the two. Bless Mackie but he's awful on the ball, Kuyt is a class act all over the park.

                                              Agree work rate of Mackie but also has ability

                                              This type of player could go two ways could be the next Park as he came with a workrate ethos but was pants or could be a Dunne/Nelson
