      It's all ifs and buts, as said they'll play percentages and by preventing one option, they may allow another. Ultimately Simpson prevented his wide man getting past him to cross the ball, if he'd tried to get tighter he'd run more risk of the player nipping past him. I think what caught them out is the fact often you face 442, whereas Wigan 352 which allows them extra bodies in and around the attacking 3rd and we got pulled about too much in that move, hence Onouha was pulled out towards McClean who did get the cross in.

      My point though was if any single player was to be held accountable for that goal, it has to be Hill becasue he only had one thing to worry about, no variables, and he messed it up by being far too static with his arm up, when he just had to watch his man and stay goal side for a straightforward clearance.
