    Gary O'Neil

Not a popular player I know but credit where it's due - I thought he put in a decent solid performance and one of our better players tonight.

its good to have a few experienced heads now we have come down to this stage.
Green, Dunne, Hill, O'Neill, Barton, Kranjkar, Zamora.
Not just on the pitch but would be a presence to have in the dressing room.

I was trying to think of a MOTM in what was a scrappy tense game, and I'd have to give it to O'Neil tbh. He did his job well and hardly put a foot wrong. Looked decent v Barnsley too.

He has been played out of position all season until tonight.
            Kept the faith!

Yep. Happy as can be with the result, but note that O'Neil and Traore played in positions they'd rarely if ever played in for us before. Strange that Harry still doesn't know his first eleven.

We have our views on the best eleven , but I suppose it comes down to how they all do in the weeks training session beforehand.
Will forgive all the poor performances in games this season, if they all go out and give 100%.
On paper we should have walked this league, and I think the players know that they should have done more.

Was only played to be a 'spoiler' to disrupt McArthur & Mcmanaman's physicality & I thought he done a sterling job.

Tom Carrol in my opinion would get over run & bullied by them two so I would stick to the same line up Monday but possibly have the two wingers swap sides.

Yep, full credit where it's due! My heart sank a little when I saw he was playing but did a quiet and solid job, hopefully he and Henry are ahead of Carroll in the final games, think Tom would be completely anonymous.

I thought tactically we were very good. When I saw that Wigan were playing 5 in the middle I really did fear the worst but I thought we handled them superbly and man alive I hope Ned is on a 10 year contra the is a beast

                            This!

For once Harry got it spot on, O'Neil in the middle was fantastic & done just what we needed him to. As you say, Nedum is immense. We really are lost without him at the back!
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I don't have the dislike for TC that some have for him on here but I am really glad Harry chose O'Neil in this away leg! Maybe we'll see Carrol at some point Monday, possibly starting?
