Unbelievable twaddle from that scottish man mcgovern..........sadly it shows the mess consecutive governments adopting this ridiculous pc attitude has made this country.
To make name calling illegal and to accuse someone of being racist is seen as worse than being labelled a murderer, is pc madness.

And if that were what was happening, then you might have a point.

As it is, McGovern has made a mistake by accusing Warnock of racism, and will probably end up apologising for that.

Never in a million years could Warnock's comments be construed as racist, unless one happens to be of exceptionally low intelligence, or intent on finding things that don't exist.

It was simply Warnock's way of putting across his point. Slightly tactless at worst. But given his limited oratory skills, totally understandable.

Racism is a touchy subject and I'm of the opinion that you should err on the side of caution as a rule. This case however, appears to be a huge over-reaction, and completely unnecessary, as they'd have been better off focussing on how unprofesional Warnock had been, rather than inventing racism where seemingly none was intended.

There is definitely an over-sensitivity some of the time, and as such a backlash against PC-ness, but political correctness is generally a well-intentioned thing, trying to encourage people not to be a*****les to each other, and to treat people fairly is laudable IMO.
