That first goal and the body checks until he stuck it beautifully into the top corner was like a flashback to adel in the warnock year. Thise two players are very similar. Lets see who goes on to achieve more.

Very much so Kev. Still early days but where I say Ravel edges it over Adel is work rate as he's great on the ball but he also does the dirty work off it getting back and putting tackles in

Plus for a lad so young he don't half b ollock the players around him for screwing up. He gave it both barrels to Barton when he never put him in and to Keane when he played a ball he never read

I am worried If we sign him on permanent, he will become another lazy player like Hoilett and Diakite. Many players impress during loan spells but then become useless after signing.

Yes, he needs a hernia op which it was decided to delay until the end of the season, which would be connected to the groin strain he's having. It was also part of the reason for the falling out with Allardyce, who felt Ravel was making too much of the injury.

Not just that but also his surging box-to-box run leading up to it.

If he's guaranteed a start in a PL team then we won't have a sniff. If he's going to be a squad player elsewhere, then you never know.

Realistically I think we'd have to be promoted to have any chance of signing him on a permanent basis.
