All this handwringing but it is no different from the situations at Man City, Chelsea, PSG and Monaco. IF the owners pull out, we're ****ed - same as those clubs. Massive if though.

I don't think it will affect us if we went up this season as you get a years graceOriginally posted by D3nisBail3ySliP View PostSo how do these awful figures affect the FFP if at all ? or is this a problem from next season? Please explain someone.
TF and Co would need to write the losses off for 2013/2014 next season though in order to avoid the FFP fineWe Are The People.....

Not really the same though is it? There will be a lot more people willing to invest in those clubs than little ol QPROriginally posted by Johnny Tightlips View PostAll this handwringing but it is no different from the situations at Man City, Chelsea, PSG and Monaco. scary stuff looking forward... parachute payments are nice, but at £23m (plus about £2m championship tv money), we're still £18m short of the £43m tv income that gave us a £65m loss.
we're probably about level on player acquisition costs so far this season - the signing on fees of austin, philips, o'neil, simpson etc are probably about the same as any profit we made on the sales of samba and mackie. so, if the wage bill has gone down by, say, £3m a month (as some speculated on here last summer), then that'll have left us with a net reduction to the debt of about £6m for this year, so we're maybe looking at a loss in the region of £40-50m for this season. that's a huge fine if promoted or a very long transfer embargo (until we get everything sorted) if not.
uh-oh...

Also worth noting that it is unsecured debt so they are not going to cash in on the stadium or anything before any conspiracies startOriginally posted by brightonr View PostYou're absolutely right of course. Quite why a group of people would even consider calling in a debt that they owe to themselves and put their own club into administration, is beyond me.
I am assuming they are reasonably relaxed about the situation as it is they who have incurred this debt knowing that it is only them that can pay it back. It's not as if it's owed by other people, is it?

these figures don't count towards ffp, but this season's accounts will do. if they end up showing, say, a £40m loss and we got promoted, we'd be fined something in the region of £28.7m (if we again made a £65m loss, the fine would be £53.7m).Originally posted by Rangersw12 View PostI don't think it will affect us if we went up this season as you get a years grace

They are only losses if the TF and CO continue to loan the club money instead of writing it of like Al Fayed did at FulhamOriginally posted by klonk View Postthese figures don't count towards ffp, but this season's accounts will do. if they end up showing, say, a £40m loss and we got promoted, we'd be fined something in the region of £28.7m (if we again made a £65m loss, the fine would be £53.7m).We Are The People.....

no. they're losses taken from the operating statement which (broadly speaking) compare the income and costs of day-to-day activities. the only way to change that is through producing falsified accounts.Originally posted by Rangersw12 View PostThey are only losses if the TF and CO continue to loan the club money instead of writing it of like Al Fayed did at Fulham
how the owners finance the business (loans, injection of shareholder capital etc) has no bearing on the calculation of the profit or loss.
